Illuminate: Athena #3

This projection work created during a residency at  the Atheneaum Library in Melbourne was a part of the White Nights Festival. The inflatable sculptures created for the work were based on Athena the goddess of knowledge, art, war and startegy. She is the guardian for the Mechanics Institutes that are around Australia and the Athenaeum is the first in Australia, shaping the culture of Melbourne over many years. The images include slide shows on the inflatable spheres, and the films projected on the figures were created with actor Penelope Bartlau of Barking Spider being the bride, the dancer and the swimmer. 2016/17.
